I fear he’s right. Neocon extremists always support war, and they will pressure Obama to start more of them.
We’re ALREADY seeing it. Obama’s sending 1,500 more troops to “train” Iraqi troops in a “non-combat” role.
How long before even more “advisors” are sent on the way?
And how long before they DO engage in combat?
Why does this scenario feel so familiar to us, but not to anyone on Capitol Hill?
It’s like Afghanistan is ancient history, let alone Vietnam!

The Middle East conflict is a multi-sided religious war, in which NO ONE trusts U.S. intentions. Our meddling will create MORE resentment and possible terrorist enemies.
If you do this as well as other U.S. foreign interventions, we’ll probably get those enemies from all sides, including the ones we’re allegedly helping!
Instead of escalating, you must END the air raids and bring ALL the troops home.
But don’t stop there. After you’ve sent your letter, you’ll get an email with a copy of it. Forward your letter to the one or two friends (not 10, not more) who will be most interested in this message. Ask them to do as you did and send a letter too.
