Why is the Senate resurrecting CISPA, now known as CISA?
It’s a phony “cybersecurity” bill that pretends sharing our data with the NSA will somehow make us safer from cyber-attacks.
I DO NOT CONSENT to a bill…
* written in secret
* that provides few if any data retention limitations
* that encourages corporations to violate user privacy agreements
And making matters worse…
CISA isn’t just limited to cyber-attacks. It could be employed in criminal investigations, imperiling my Fourth Amendment rights (yet again!).
Man, you folks on Capitol Hill really hate the Fourth Amendment! I get it. Still…
* Have you learned NOTHING from the Snowden revelations?
* Hasn’t someone on your staff told you that “we the people,” in overwhelming numbers, demand LESS NSA power?
It’s not like there’s no solution to cybersecurity challenges. Instead of complying with CISA, private businesses should seek decentralized, diversified, innovative cybersecurity systems. Diversification always reduces risk. And, it will contain the damage any attack could inflict.
