On May 27, the 58-page Intelligence Authorization Act (HR 4681) was reported out of the so-called “Intelligence Committee.” And your “leaders” intend to get it passed in just three days!
As of May 28, Congress.gov didn’t even have a SUMMARY of the bill for the public to read. But you’ll let the Rules Committee decide which amendments can be debated, and then pass the bill unread.
I DO NOT CONSENT!
For 13 years, Congress rammed through “Intelligence” bills without reading them. Those bills gave us a Surveillance State that violates my privacy.
You kowtow to the Administration.
But you’re NOT their employee. You work for ME! So…
* Demand and support amendments to HR 4681 that restore Fourth Amendment rights.
* And PASS the Read the Bills Act so that you, me, and everyone else has a chance to know what’s in the bills!
