Help Justin Amash amend the annual defense spending bill. The Republican leadership doesn’t want his amendment to end funding for illegal NSA surveillance programs. They’re afraid that, if it comes to a vote, it will pass!
Let’s increase the pressure on the GOP leadership with a letter like this, using our Cut Federal Spending campaign . . .
Cut funding for NSA programs that spy on the American public. Justin Amash has an amendment to do this. Bring it to a vote and pass it.
The NSA has no statutory authority for these programs. They also violate the 4th, 9th, and 10th Amendments.
I do NOT want to pay for this criminality. I deny consent.
This is a test of your legitimacy. You know about these criminal actions but you do nothing to stop them. Pass the Amash Amendment, or lose more of what little legitimacy you have left.

If your Rep is a Republican, please follow your letter with a call. When you send your letter, you’ll see a link for your Representative and two Senators. Click on the link to your Rep, you’ll get their phone number. Tell your Rep’s office to pressure the House majority leadership to allow the Amash Amendment.
The House majority leaders are trying to change the rules to block the Amash amendment. This tells us they’re scared and on the run. Scare them more. Increase the pressure! Send your letter. Make your phone call. Then, recruit others to do the same.
