SPECIAL BULLETIN
We have another major victory to report.
The “One Subject at a Time Act” has been reintroduced in Congress!
We also recently reported progress in getting the Read the Bills Act introduced in the House for the first time. That was good news, though we were disappointed that the bill was missing its most important clause. We face no such disappointment in this case.
Representative Tom Marino, of Pennsylvania, kept his word and reintroduced a clean One Subject at a Time bill. The bill number is HR 2113.
We encourage you to give Mr. Marino POSITIVE FEEDBACK. Can we flood his Facebook page with grateful comments and his congressional office with supportive phone calls?

We also need to praise our close friends and allies in The Williamsport Tea Party. They were crucial to this success, both the first time and this time.
We’ve sent a press release about this to several hundred media outlets. You can read it one of its published locations. NOW we can begin to attract co-sponsors!
- We had nine co-sponsors in the last Congress
- But five of them are no longer in office!
So we’ll need to work hard to exceed the number of co-sponsors we had last time. Here’s what you need to know . . .
Dealing with constantly-distracted congressional offices requires persistence and patience. There’s no guarantee of progress, let alone success. This means . . .
We need to feel confident that we can afford to devote the staff-time such persistence requires. And that kind of confidence derives from sound financing.
We do a lot with a little. I seriously doubt that any other organization our size has ever managed to get multiple bills introduced in both the House and the Senate. But we think we can accomplish even more!
If you like what we’re doing please start a monthly pledge or make a one-time donation.
And just so you know, we actually need to raise another $4,600 by the end of June to make budget. Please contribute here if you possibly can.
And please . . .
- Thank Representative Marino

P.S. I described our GOAL above. Downsize DC is shy of our actual monthly BUDGET need by about $4,600. Your generous support is needed. It would be very encouraging to my team if someone reading this could contribute that balance today.
