So, an observation about those who are willing to sacrifice their principles and liberties out of fear of big bad Sharia Law, they almost always cite extreme stories based in Europe and from fringe media outlets. Most of which are most likely gross over exaggerations or at best the twisted remnant of a minute truth but based fully in inaccurate information meant to instill fear!
Not remembering or taking into consideration that most of Europe has always been ruled by one despot or another and if they still have their cradle to grave welfare they will comply because they have never tasted true freedom and have no ability to recognize it. This is simply put a slave mentality and that is just something about Europe that I don’t see ever changing… they love their wise overlords!
This cannot happen here because we have a sense of freedom and we don’t like when someone tries to mess with our freedom, especially foreigners. It is always easier to think of the greatest threat coming from an external threat because then you can entrust someone else to have to deal with it and you negate your responsibility to them. Which human nature since Adam and Eve has been to pass blame on others instead of taking the responsibility for themselves or their actions!
If the enemy to that freedom turns out to be from an internal source and worse, from their own government, that would require them to do something and we really don’t like that idea because we are comfortable and we like all of our creature comforts. It requires us to have risk something, to leave our comfort zone and even god forbid we might not get to watch “American Idol”…the world, as we know, will crumble into pieces if we don’t get to do that.
In mean time, we have five wars we are fighting and if you don’t believe that here are there names Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen and Libya and drum beats for two more Iran and Syria. We are indebted to other nations, our dollar is collapsing in front of our very eyes, food and gas prices are just going to continue to rise as the dollar continues fall, our congress continues to pass ever more intrusive laws and as always the more intrusive the law the more money it takes to enforce these laws, we no longer are in a free country but one of corporatism or at best crony capitalism and our leaders who are completely sold out to special interest instead of being sold out to ideas of our founders that conceived the basis of our government aka the Constitution which they swore an oath too.
Then let us not forget that we have to be molested or have pornographic picture taken of us to travel, we have check points in subways, malls, businesses, we have our emails’ read, phone calls listen too, internet monitored, We can be put on a watch list and denied the right travel, we can have our homes search without warrants or without probable cause, we can be taken to other countries and tortured, we have as a policy that the president can assassinate American citizens with his say so alone, we can have our children be taken from our home by force and forced to go to government schools, we have a government that can access our personal health information, we have a government that thinks it should have the right to detain anyone indefinitely without charges.
We have all this because we have this illogical, unreasoning and quite frankly this insane fear of Sharia Law…so we have a law that is equally as oppressive but we just don’t call it that we call it “The Patriot Act”. Maybe Patriot translated into Arabic is Sharia…LOL….Wake up, the enemy is already breathing down your neck and as he tightens the rope your neck…as he whispers tales of distraction and weaves lies of phantom monsters that out to get you. You stand there with the false promises of protection from the monsters in the mean time he is about to pull the lever on the gallows…
