Songs of Freedom: Tales From The Revolution was named a one of four finalist in the Current Events: Political/Social category of THE “BEST BOOKS 2010” AWARDS. The book, edited by Darryl W. Perry, is a compilation of essays, stories, poems and artwork by members of the freedom movement past & present. Songs of Freedom: Tales From The Revolution was also named Book of the Month for August 2009 by Freedom Book Club.
JPX Media, which administers the awards issued a press release announcing the winners. The press release states, in part:
