In response to Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO Martin Shkreli raising the price of Daraprim from $13.50 to $750 a pill, a specialty pharmaceutical company announced Thursday that it has created an alternative medication that costs less than a dollar per pill. Due to the fact that many pharmaceutical corporations are drastically increasing drug prices, a new niche in the market has opened for smaller drug companies offering inexpensive medications as viable alternatives.

(RT) — During its investigation into misconduct and sexual harassment on the part of Drug Enforcement Administration agents, the Justice Department found that eight out 14 agents had wrongly received merit bonuses or time off ranging from $1,500 to nearly $32,000.

Such rewards are in violation of the DEA’s own policy.
“None of the 14 DEA employees involved in … misconduct incidents … received promotions, but in ten instances, eight of the 14 employees received bonuses or awards contrary to DEA policy,” said the DoJ Office of the Inspector General audit of DEA rewards and awards. Toronto, CA — A disturbing video surfaced this week showing Ontario Provincial Police officers conducting themselves in a most disgusting and cruel manner.
A 21-year-old German Shepard-cattle dog mix belonging to Karen Sutherland had gotten loose during a storm. When police officers arrived on the scene and saw the mostly deaf and nearly decrepit dog, they apparently feared for their lives and took offensive action.
Instead of seeing if the dog had an ID tag and perhaps attempting to return it to the owner, these cowardly cops decided to run it down – multiple times.

Bardstown, Kentucky – Police Officer Nick Houck is under investigation for helping his brother dispose of his murdered girlfriend’s body, and investigators say that forensic evidence ties him to the cover-up. Also, both Nick and his brother Brooks claim that they have temporary amnesia and can’t remember anything that happened during the time of the murder.
According to investigators, traces of blood were found on a blanket and trunk of a Bardstown Police cruiser that was registered to Nick Houck.
