Pharma Bro’s 5,500% Price Hike Gets a Slap in the Face by Competitor Who Will Only Charge $1

In response to Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO Martin Shkreli raising the price of Daraprim from $13.50 to $750 a pill, a specialty pharmaceutical company announced Thursday that it has created an alternative medication that costs less than a dollar per pill. Due to the fact that many pharmaceutical corporations are drastically increasing drug prices, a new niche in the market has opened for smaller drug companies offering inexpensive medications as viable alternatives.
After acquiring the sole rights to sell Daraprim, former hedge fund manager Martin Shkreli increased the price by 5,500%. Preventing infections in people with weakened immune systems, including AIDS patients …read more

Not Only Were the DEA Agents who Threw ‘Drug & Sex Parties’ NOT Fired, They Got Bonuses

(RT) — During its investigation into misconduct and sexual harassment on the part of Drug Enforcement Administration agents, the Justice Department found that eight out 14 agents had wrongly received merit bonuses or time off ranging from $1,500 to nearly $32,000.

Such rewards are in violation of the DEA’s own policy.

Dastardly Cops Caught on Video Torturing Defenseless Old Dog by Running it Over Multiple Times

Toronto, CA — A disturbing video surfaced this week showing Ontario Provincial Police officers conducting themselves in a most disgusting and cruel manner.
A 21-year-old German Shepard-cattle dog mix belonging to Karen Sutherland had gotten loose during a storm. When police officers arrived on the scene and saw the mostly deaf and nearly decrepit dog, they apparently feared for their lives and took offensive action.
Instead of seeing if the dog had an ID tag and perhaps attempting to return it to the owner, these cowardly cops decided to run it down – multiple times.
The entire gruesome incident was captured on cellphone …read more

FBI Ashamed that Citizens are Far Better at Holding Killer Cops Accountable than Them

The Washington Post reported on October 21 that 789 people were shot dead by cops so far this year, with 71 being killed in the past 30 days. Contrast this to the steady decline in felonious killings of police officers, and the false “war on cops” being portrayed by police apologists.
Even FBI Director James Comey lamented, “It is unacceptable that The Washington Post and the Guardian newspaper from the U.K. are becoming the lead source of information about violent encounters between police and …read more

Solving Visual Hacking

There is a little known–at least I don’t hear a lot of people talking about it–problem in the realm of security and privacy. It’s called “visual hacking”. Not a new idea, and indirectly it has been talked about many times at the Dark Android Project and on my science and tech show: Sovryn Tech.
It’s a simple matter, really. Someone stands over your shoulder, or next to you, or behind you, and looks at your phone or computer screen and is able to collect various information, passwords, data, etc. just by looking. That’s all “visual hacking” is. Nothing that really requires …read more
