Amazon Finally Gives You Two-Factor Authentication

I’ve talked about this a million times on my science and tech podcast Sovryn Tech–actually, Amazon is a pet project of journalism for me–but with all of the things that Amazon released and developed as late, and the entire (honestly, impressive) digital ecosystem that they’ve created which comes with the ability to get nearly anything physical you could want to you inside of minutes in some areas…it’s near insulting for the company to not have Two-Factor Authentication as option for securing your getting-more-precious-by-they-day Amazon account.
Now, that has finally changed.

By going to “Your Account” and looking at the “manage e-mail address, …read more

In Just Under 4 Minutes, CBS News Anchor Explains How and Why the US Created ISIS

As Americans cower in fear over the perceived threat from men, women and children attempting to escape from war-torn Syria, the majority of people are ignoring the reason there are refugees in the first place.
The US created and funded a terrorist regime in Syria that would be used to destabilize the region and create a specific advantage for American interests over China and Russia.
Prior to 2012, ISIS, as we know them, did not exist. So how did this unknown group of psychopathic killers gain such notoriety so quickly?
Leaked Pentagon documents and News Anchor Ben Swann from WGCL Atlanta, explain exactly …read more

Lawmaker Calls on National Guard to “Gather Up” Refugees and Put them in Detention Camps

As governors across the United States publicly deny refuge to the Syrian citizens who’ve been displaced entirely as a result of US foreign policy, some would-be neo-Nazis want to take it a step further.
Tennessee state Representative, Glen Casada, the chairman of the House Republican Caucus in the state Legislature, wants to use military power to seek out the current refugees already in the states and round them up.
“If I err, it will be on the side of not having another Paris, France,” said Casada in an interview with NPR. “When we let them in, we are letting terrorists in.”
“We gather …read more

Introducing the Shift Card

Today, we’re excited to introduce the first US-issued bitcoin debit card, the Shift Card. The Shift Card is a VISA debit card that currently allows Coinbase users in twenty-four states in the U.S. to spend bitcoin online and offline at over 38 million merchants worldwide.

Merchant adoption has come a long way over the past few years, but it’s still difficult for people to make regular purchases with bitcoin. Buying gas at a local gas station or groceries at a neighborhood grocery store with bitcoin has not been possible in most cities in the U.S. Thanks to Shift Payments, it’s now …read more

If You Must Use Facebook on Android…Do It with This App

At the Dark Android Project, I generally recommend that you don’t use Facebook at all (it’s one of two companies–Alphabet/Google and Facebook–that Edward Snowden warned to get away from). There. Got that out of the way. But if you do want to use Facebook for whatever reason, and on your Android device in particular, I generally recommend just using their mobile site. But I’ve recently tested out a more “feature-rich” way of running Facebook on your Android device without having to install the bloated and ridiculous Facebook app, or the Facebook Messenger app for that matter.
But before I get into …read more
