Colorado Juries Keep Letting People Go for Driving on Weed, Prosecutors and Cops are Furious

Adams County, CO — Colorado prosecutors are getting frustrated at jurors for daring to exercise rationality instead of blindly following the will of the State. A growing number of juries are acquitting people of driving under the influence of cannabis, even when tests show they are over the state’s legal blood-THC limit.
Since the recreational use of cannabis became legal, Colorado authorities are scrambling to apply rules and regulations to this new reality. They have established a 5 ng/ml blood-THC limit for operation of a motor vehicle, which seems to be arbitrary as there is no preponderance of data to support …read more

US Ally, Saudi Arabia Has More ISIS Supporters On Twitter Than Any Other Country On Earth

A recent study published by the Brookings Institution reviewed Twitter data from all over the world to track down the locations that had the most support for the terrorist group ISIS. Using a test sample of 20,000 accounts from each country, the study found that Saudi Arabia actually had the most pro-ISIS accounts, and by a fairly steep margin as well. Syria followed in 2nd with a significantly less number than Saudi Arabia, then followed by Iraq. Surprisingly, the United States is actually in fourth place, with a larger support base than most people would expect.
These numbers from Twitter showed …read more

US Ally, Saudi Arabia, Just Sentenced a Poet to Death — for Being an Atheist

Ashraf Fayadh is a Palestinian poet who was sentenced to death this week by US ally, Saudi Arabia.
Fayadh harmed no one, however, the religious police of Saudi Arabia sentenced him to death on Tuesday for his choice of words.
According to the Guardian, the religious police first detained Fayadh in August 2013 after receiving a complaint that he was cursing against Allah and the prophet Muhammad, insulting Saudi Arabia and distributing a book of his poems that promoted atheism.

Drone Pilots Finally State the Obvious – Blowing Up Innocent People is Creating “Terrorists”

‘We killed them in their sleep. That was cowardly murder.’ – Brandon Bryant former USAF drone pilot.

In the wake of the Paris attacks, government officials and MSM talking heads are hauling out the same old propaganda and fear rhetoric. They “hate our freedom,” they hate western civilization, the Muslim religion demands the murder of all non-believers. This manufactured rage then manifests itself on the most defenseless—the refugees of war—who in tragic irony seek help from those who drove the cause of their suffering.
As The Free Thought Project wrote earlier, decades of Western meddling in the Middle East has killed countless …read more

New Hampshire Filing Closes for Presidential Primaries

November 20 was the deadline for presidential candidates to file in New Hampshire. Thirty Republicans filed, and twenty-eight Democrats filed. By contrast, in 2012, 31 Republicans filed and 14 Democrats filed. Candidates need no petition; they merely pay a fee of $1,000.
The New Hampshire Secretary of State encourages many candidates to file, because the more candidates file, the more revenue the state receives. Gardner even sometimes telephones lesser-known presidential candidates and encourages them to file.
Yet when the Libertarian Party sued New Hampshire over ballot access, the state claimed that the restrictive rules were needed to keep …read more

Amazon Finally Gives You Two-Factor Authentication

I’ve talked about this a million times on my science and tech podcast Sovryn Tech–actually, Amazon is a pet project of journalism for me–but with all of the things that Amazon released and developed as late, and the entire (honestly, impressive) digital ecosystem that they’ve created which comes with the ability to get nearly anything physical you could want to you inside of minutes in some areas…it’s near insulting for the company to not have Two-Factor Authentication as option for securing your getting-more-precious-by-they-day Amazon account.
Now, that has finally changed.

By going to “Your Account” and looking at the “manage e-mail address, …read more
