The ASUS Zenfone Series Will Block Ads by Default

Beginning in January 2016 (I imagine there’s some kind of contract with an advertiser keeping them from doing this right away that is coming to an end in 2015), ASUS will be–by default–having their Chromium-based web browser, ASUS Browser, block ads on websites. At the Dark Android Project, I’ve been recommending ASUS’ Android devices for some time. The 2013 Google Nexus 7 (yes, that is ASUS-built), the ASUS ZenPad S 8.0, the soon to ship ASUS Zenfone ZOOM (with that giant freakin’ camera), and of course what I consider to be the best smartphone on the market for the buck …read more

Michigan Says Rocky De La Fuente Has Enough Signatures to be on Democratic Presidential Primary Ballot

On December 23, the Michigan Secretary of State’s office determined that Rocky De La Fuente has enough valid signatures to be on the Michigan Democratic presidential primary ballot. He needed 12,823 signatures. He submitted 20,166, and 16,470 were valid. The other candidates on Michigan’s presidential primary ballots did not need to submit petitions, because the Secretary of State put them on the ballot automatically because they are mentioned in news media. Thanks to John Anthony LaPietra for this news.
De La Fuente has probably collected more signatures on presidential primary petitions this year, around the nation, than …read more

Franklin Graham Leaves Republican Party, Becomes an Independent

Recently, Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham and head of the Billy Graham organization, said he has left the Republican Party and re-registered as an independent. He recommends that other Christians run for office outside of the two major parties. In 2012 Franklin Graham and Billy Graham had endorsed Mitt Romney for President. The Graham organization is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. North Carolina has very severe petition requirements for candidates who run outside the two major parties.
The cause of the decision was the recent action of Congress in passing the omnibus spending bill which retained …read more

Baltimore, MD – As we reported last week, the jury in the case of Baltimore Police Officer William G. Porter told the judge that they were deadlocked and had been unable to reach a verdict. Joint Chiefs of Staff Official – US Military Gave Intel to Assad, While CIA Funded & Armed ISIS

Washington, DC – The Pentagon’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) have been indirectly providing intelligence on the Islamic State to the government of Syrian President Bashar Assad, in direct contrast to the Obama administration’s agenda of regime change, in an effort to stop Syria from becoming another failed state from which terrorists can operate.
A recent investigation by renowned journalist Seymour Hersh provides clear evidence of a massive disconnect between President Obama’s White House and the U.S. military regarding the handling of the Syrian situation.
The awkward situation stems from the Obama administration’s insistence that there are “moderate rebel” groups to arm …read more

Error Code 451: The Internet is Being Censored

Most people don’t realize that there are “administrative bodies” that oversee the internet (and more specifically, the World Wide Web…they are two different things). While the internet was more directly overseen by the U.S. government in its early years, since 1992 a lot of the leg work for administrative matters over the internet has been done by the Internet Society, which became the controlling body over the previously government-run Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The IETF is more of a standards body than anything, and really, the internet doesn’t need any of this as pretty much every company that operates …read more

Why Rush Limbaugh said, “Disband the Republican Party”

The GOP just made a terrible spending deal with the Democrats. Libertarian columnist James Bovard calls it “no boondoggle left behind.” Rush Limbaugh says it removes any need for a Republican Party. We think it argues for this response…
