San Diego, CA– As America celebrated its veterans this past Tuesday, officials in Solana Beach were busy harassing Wounded Warriors, reportedly because they had posted the event on Facebook and had not obtained a permit.
The 25 volunteers and the veterans were told to pack up their American flags and leave the beach, Joel Tudor told Fox5.
The Veteran’s Day event was organized by Operation Amped, a non-profit that aims to “share the ‘stoke’ of the surfing community and the healing potential of surfing with seriously ill, injured, or disabled U.S. military veterans and their families.”

Iowa City, Iowa – Earlier this week, an Iowa City police officer shot himself and another officer while they were cleaning their firearms.
The incident reportedly happened on Monday, November 10, 2014 around 8:30 p.m. Two ambulances were immediately called to the scene, and the officers were taken to nearby hospitals where they were later treated and released.

Carroll County, KY — In another case in point example of why the proverbial “Good Cop” is such a rarity, a Sheriff’s deputy in Kentucky has been fired after blowing the whistle on his department.
Deputy JT Shaw had evidence that the Sheriff, Jamie Kinman, had planted drugs in another deputy’s car, so he blew the whistle and reported it to the state police.

Birmingham, Alabama – Former Winston County police officer has pleaded guilty to forcing a woman into cooking methamphetamine so he could feed his drug habit.
42-year-old former officer Grady Keith Concord is charged with extortion under color of official right, manufacturing methamphetamine, and manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine on premises where children are present or reside.
According to court records, in July 2013, Concord approached a woman who lived in Nauvoo and forced her to cook meth for him. For nearly an entire year, Concord delivered pseudoephedrine to the woman’s home and returned later to pick up his batch of meth.

Charleston, WV — A Charleston police officer has been suspended with pay and is expected to resign after throwing a homeless man’s backpack into a river.
The man’s backpack contained a laptop that had the only photographs he had left of his late wife, according to sources within the department.
Patrolman Brian Lightner has been suspended since Sept 9, about four weeks after the incident, which resulted in the arrest of Andrew Joel Hunt, 26, on disorderly conduct and public intoxication charges.
The charges were later dismissed by the department on Oct 28.

New Delhi, India – Vasant Vihar police were recently asleep on the job when burglars entered the police station and looted an ATM that was kept inside. During the burglary, the thieves also ransacked a tea shop, stealing large sums of money from there as well.
