The Nevada Green Party filed a lawsuit earlier this year, alleging that the April petition deadline for newly-qualifying parties is too early. Santa Rosa, Texas – In a stunning move the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office, in concert with the Texas Rangers, raided the Santa Rosa Police Department.
The police department was closed temporarily as the search warrant was executed at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to Action 4 News, the Cameron County D.A. Luis Saenz was unforthcoming about the investigation due to its ongoing nature.
Investigators however did confirm that an “evidentiary search warrant,” was executed.

Albany, New York – Last week, police in Albany raided the home of a 90-year-old woman because she was operating an ‘unlicensed casino.’ The raid followed a two-month investigation into the independent business that the woman was running out of her home.
Mary Helen Morgan was charged with keeping a place of gambling, disorderly house and illegal alcohol sales. while a number of her patrons were charged with a variety of victimless crimes.
