Richmond Co., GA– Deputy Alton Walter of The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested and charged with False Imprisonment and Cruelty to Children in the 1st Degree. He faces the two felonies, after handcuffing a 12-year-old child to a basketball goal and beating him, sending him to the hospital with injuries.

A string of repulsive videos has been posted to YouTube in the last 24 hours of police officers violating the rights of people who choose to film them. The videos are of police encounters from California all the way to Florida.

Washington, D.C. – The government is making a seemingly concerted effort to obscure from public view exactly how cell phone signal interceptors, know as “Stingray” devices, are being secretly utilized by law enforcement.
Stingray devices, generically known as international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) catchers, are designed to emit a signal that is stronger than nearby cell phone towers in order to force phones in the vicinity to connect to them. Los Angeles, California – A police officer accidentally shot a 15-year-old child after he saw someone else pointing a toy gun. The boy that was injured was not the person holding toy gun and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The police then detained the group of children that were present, and blamed the entire situation on them.
Speaking to the media this week, Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Cmdr. Andrew Smith denied any responsibility on the part of the police, but instead blamed the children who were just playing with a toy gun.

New York, New York – NYPD Detective Sekou Bourne is being accused of tackling and assaulting a woman because he thought that she had drugs. However, what the detective believed to be drugs was just a lollipop.
Jarnale Henry claims that the officer assaulted her in her Brooklyn apartment after he mistook her for a drug dealer.
Last April, Bourne was reportedly snooping around Jarnale’s apartment complex in search of drug dealers. At one point, Bourne was hanging around Jarnale’s apartment, so she asked him, “What do you want?” according to court documents.

Wellston, MO– In yet another case proving that corruption is everywhere, a council woman seems to be running a St. Louis suburb’s police department.

The son of Wellston city councilwoman, Janet Dixon, was raided in 2013 after a tip-off that he was dealing drugs from his home. A 3-year-old and a 9-month-old were also living in the house.
