Sharpstown, TX — Sharpstown is a Texas community, located just southwest of Houston, and the way they maintain security in this community has gotten our attention.
In 2012, they fired their cops.
The Sharpstown Civic Association then hired S.E.A.L. Security Solutions, a private firm, to patrol their streets.
The statist fearmongers will have you believe that “privatizing” anything would result in mass chaos and a Mad Max scenarios of warlords and rampant crime. But they are wrong.

A US Department of Justice report, to be released this week, alleges that Ferguson police are guilty of disproportional fining and arresting African-American residents to balance the town’s budget, making the lives of those unable to pay a nightmare.

Officials familiar with the report told The New York Times that it will be “highly critical” of police practices in the town, where the majority of the population is black but the police department and local government are mostly white.

Coconut Creek, FL — A Florida cop, with a history of corruption, is in hot water after being caught on camera engaging in acts that the state has deemed illegal.
Coconut Creek Police Officer James Yacobellis has been drawing his $90,000 annual salary for the last 16 months while he’s been on paid vacation for his misdeeds.

Carson City, Nevada -Sheriff Kenneth Furlong of Carson City recently appeared on the local news to speak about the violent crime that marijuana is responsible for creating.
“Second to domestic violence, marijuana is at the top of our list of violent acts, here in Carson City,” Furlong said.
“One pulls out a gun, shoots the other right straight through the heart. Marijuana found at the residence,” he added.

Detroit, Michigan – An unnamed police officer has been accused of stealing memorabilia from the movie “Scarface” during a high-profile drug raid.
Interestingly enough, the officer was actually turned in by another cop who was on the scene and witnessed the theft.
The officer was arrested by Internal Affairs investigators this week and is now the subject of an internal investigation. According to the police department, the officer is accused of stealing a Scarface shadow box that contained bullets which were actually fired during the filming of the movie.
