We have been way TOO busy at the Downsize DC Foundation. So we’re VERY late getting you this 2014 annual report.
Last year, our wonderful supporters funded the following…
2.0 and 3.0 of our Zero Aggression Project (ZAP) website (launching soon!)
Amicus briefs in six court cases (listed below) that produced three victories!
As you may recall, the Zero Aggression Project intends to…
Find and recruit new libertarians.
Move others in a libertarian direction.
Most libertarian educational efforts…
Focus on practical questions of public policy.
Provide valuable education, but do NOT aim to recruit and activate new supporters.
The Zero Aggression Project is different…

Greenville, Texas – On Wednesday Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks finally addressed the viral video of one of his deputies punching a 38-week pregnant woman, Deanna Robinson-Katsuki, numerous times.
Anyone that was hoping for transparency and accountability had that thought quickly jettisoned after listening to Meeks’ statements during the press conference.
In an awkward, but unsurprising display of toeing the “thin blue line,” Meeks attempted to justify the actions of his officer. In his statement, Meeks forwards a bizarre narrative that the pregnant mother, seen being punched numerous times on video, was actually reaching for the officer’s gun.
A partial transcript of Meek’s …read more
Virginia Beach, VA– In January, 18-year-old Courtney Griffith was pulled over for the light on her license plate being out. Concerned by the officer’s aggressive behavior and knowing her rights, she propped her cell phone up on the dashboard to capture the incident.
After brutalizing her 17-year-old friend and taking them both into custody, the officers attempted to delete the footage. Luckily, the video went to a “recently deleted” file on her iPhone and was able to be recovered.
The young mother had just pulled into her driveway with the father of her child as well as her 17-year-old friend Brandon. As …read more

I demand greater legislative tranpsarency. Re-introduce these bills from the last Congress…
1. The Read the Bills Act (http://1.usa.gov/1xxyybr) requires YOU to read the bills you support, and gives the public seven days to read and critique them before Congress votes. Unlike rushed-through bills like Obamacare, you couldn’t “pass the bill so that you can find out what’s in it.”
2. The One Subject at a Time Act (http://1.usa.gov/1Go51Gd) prevents Congress from combining unrelated bills into one. No more pork-filled …read more
“He came out of the woods at me running at a trotting pace and I felt threatened so I shot and killed him….I was following orders”
Ely Township, MI — In one of the most cowardly moves by law enforcement that we’ve ever witnessed, a Michigan DNR officer shot and killed a family’s miniature pig Thursday after he “felt threatened.”
Two years ago, Tony Gervasi and Brandy Savelle decided to get another pet. They adopted a miniature pig named Caeser, and he’s been a part of their family every since.
“He just instantly became one of us, cuddled, slept in our bed. Just …read more

New York, New York – 48 hours ago, Ramsey Orta, the man who filmed the NYPD killing of Eric Garner was beginning to lose hope as he sat behind bars at Rikers prison in New York.
