He was going 65 in a 55 mile per hour zone in the middle of the night when there was hardly anyone else on the road.

Cops Give Woman Back Her Stolen Car Filled With Guns And Drugs – Twice

Calgary, CA — Courtney Pickering recently had her car stolen, and luckily the police were actually able to recover it for her. However, the thieves left behind a few of their belongings, including guns and drugs. Pickering says that they must have done a terrible job searching the car because it was not difficult for her to find the items.
After the theft occurred, Pickering was called and told by police that she would be allowed to have her car back after the “forensics team” searched the vehicle. This team overlooked a bag of cocaine in the cup holder, a crack …read more

The Acer Predator 6 is Coming, Too (and the Problem with Android Gaming)

Yesterday on the Dark Android Blog, I wrote about Acer’s upcoming gaming tablet, the Predator 8. I was generally favorable over the specs (including the Predator Quadio four-speaker sound), and I LOVED the design (unlike the rest of tech journalism), and I felt that it had a real chance of being a candidate for a solid Dark Android Project tablet. And Dark Android totally allows for gaming on Android, no Google Play Store required (thank you, Humble Bundle).
Yesterday, however, Acer also announced another Android device at IFA 2015: the Predator 6 gaming phone. Naturally, the bulk of tech journalism showed …read more

Washington D.C. (RT) — The Department of Veterans Affairs still has a massive backlog of nearly 900,000 healthcare applications ‒ including more than 300,000 from veterans who died waiting for their benefits to be approved, a report by the agency’s inspector general found.

The VA’s internal watchdog, the Office of the Inspector General, released a report Wednesday that looked into a whistleblower’s claims of extensive, persistent problems in the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) Health Eligibility Center enrollment records.
The OIG found that the VHA’s enrollment system had about 867,000 pending records as of September 30, 2014. On top of that, at least …read more

New Exchange Limit Order Policies Available

Coinbase Exchange now supports additional order types for professional traders who like more control in how they place bitcoin trades.

Immediate or Cancel orders will behave like regular limit orders, but any unmatched portion of the order will be canceled instead of being posted on the book.
Fill or Kill orders will either be filled entirely or rejected.
Post Only orders can only be posted to the book and will be rejected …read more

The Acer Predator 8 Tablet is Coming

Finally some more tablet news! With the deluge of smartphones that get released, it’s tough at times to feed the need I have with the Dark Android Project: Tablets!
And what we have here is a pretty exciting new entry in a lot of ways, even though it comes from a company that is generally not all that exciting: Acer. Back when I used to 9-5 in the tech sector, we had a running joke whenever an Acer unit would come in. As soon as we saw the unit, we’d run towards it and hold onto it like we were getting …read more
