Crime-fighting should be government’s job one. But what can be done when government itself commits crimes?

This conundrum is perhaps the key flaw in all statist thinking. If government regulation is so freaking important, then how come government itself is UNregulated?

Some people claim the Constitution controls government. But how often does the government punish itself for violating its own rules?

In truth, the Constitution regulates very little, because there is no enforcement mechanism. So the problem remains — government is unregulated and often commits crimes that go unpunished.

Stockton, CA — A young teen was on his way home from school and attempting to catch a bus when he crossed the road in a manner not fit for a police state.
When a Stockton police officer witnessed him committing the “crime” of jaywalking, the officer then attempted to deprive him of his freedom and likely attempt to extort money from him or his parents.

San Jose, CA — While walking down the sidewalk this month, a vigilant citizen pulled out her cellphone and took photos of a perverted police sergeant exposing himself while harassing her. Instead of remaining silent and accepting his abuse, the 39-year-old woman notified the police and showed them the vulgar photographs. The CNN Republican presidential debate of September 16 was supposed to be two hours long. But once it got started, it was so useful in portraying the views of the eleven candidates that CNN decided to extend it to three hours. It was closer to being a true debate than the August FOX debate had been. It is now as clear as anything that a debate with a large number of candidates can be successful. Irving, TX – An intelligent and talented 9th grader was arrested this week for bringing a homemade clock into school. 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed is interested in electronics and has taught himself how to make his own radios and other devices. He can even repair his own go-kart.

Seattle, WA — An overzealous cop was fired on Tuesday after the officer was caught falsely accusing a 69-year-old man of swinging a golf club at her patrol car. Accused by the police chief of acting with racial bias in an unnecessarily aggressive manner, Officer Cynthia Whitlatch wrongfully arrested an Air Force veteran walking down the street using a golf club as a cane. The Populist Party existed from 1984 through 1994. Although the party ceased to exist in 1994, it continued to publish its monthly newspaper, the Nationalist Times, for another twenty-one years. However, on September 10 the paper announced that it will no longer be published.

One of the biggest injustices that exists in America’s “justice system” is known euphemistically as Civil Asset Forfeiture (CAF). It amounts to theft by government, plain and simple.
A completely innocent person can have their cash or property seized if that physical object is suspected of being involved in a crime. A person does not need to be charged with a crime for this to take place.
