The Obamacare Deception

Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber admits it was written in a “tortured way” to hide taxes and other unpopular provisions. ()

This is NOT a letter to you about Obamacare or even Mr. Gruber. Please pay attention. This is about YOUR failure to do YOUR job.

You didn’t Read the Bill (S. 1665) before you voted on it.

Gruber gloats, “Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage.” To him, the ends justify the means.

How’s that working out? The law’s “tortured” language has ONCE AGAIN put it before The Supreme Court. (http://bit.ly/1zkwuW1)

That’s because…

* Congress didn’t read the bill before passing it.

* Even if you did, you wouldn’t have understood it!   

That happens when you pass 2,000 pages bills, hours after they were printed, with hand-written notes in the margin and…

I DO NOT CONSENT!

The Read the Bills Act would PREVENT deceptive legislating…

* YOU must read every word of the bills you support…

* which will lead to shorter, understandable bills…

* that we the people can read online and…

* that our real self-appointed representatives can read (that is the interest groups to which we must belong to discover what you’re doing)…

* so that your “constituents” can give you feedback for 7 days before your final vote

Competent representation REQUIRES this level of transparency.

So I demand that you…

* REPRESENT me.

* Be TRANSPARENT
