Last week, the House rushed through the so-called USA FREEDOM Act (HR 3361). This Obama-brokered, 46-page version, has language so vague it can be interpreted to PRESERVE bulk collection of our private data.
The revised bill is so bad that HALF its original co-sponsors voted against it, while many in Congress who defended the NSA and condemned Edward Snowden voted FOR it!
It was introduced Tuesday, May 20, then passed only two days later.
I DO NOT CONSENT to this process!
If the Read the Bills Act was in force…
* the bill would have been read, verbatim, before a majority in Congress
* the public would have had seven days to read the bill and provide you with input
* YOU would have NO EXCUSES in passing bad or watered-down bills.
Keep this in mind…
