This is the official email newsletter of the Zero Aggression Project and DownsizeDC.org, Inc.
We’ll have a lot to say next week about the votes that took place in Congress Wednesday. There’s actually a great deal of good news to report, and even a few silver linings in what appear to be dark clouds. Stay tuned. In the meantime . . .
A huge block of Congress has done something really good!
After more than a decade of war-mongering toward Iran, 131 members of Congress have now signed a letter to President Obama urging a diplomatic fresh-start with new Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
This, along with the Egypt and Syria votes held yesterday, show that Congress is starting to feel the heat of public displeasure. They’re buckling to YOUR pressure. The American people are tired of unnecessary conflicts and don’t want another one
Let’s support this initiative by encouraging all of Congress to sign-on using our No conflict with Iran campaign.
The hardwired message says simply…
I oppose conflict with Iran.
You can borrow from my personal comments . . .
I applaud the Dent-Price letter encouraging fresh diplomacy with Iran. I want the entire House and the Senate to get behind this initiative.
Our belligerent foreign policy has failed everywhere for the past dozen years. It has created more enemies than it has ever restrained. I consider the present course to be a threat to my personal security. You are endangering me, NOT protecting me.
I want no more war-mongering over a supposed Iranian nuclear weapons program that OUR OWN INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES say doesn’t even exist.
I also oppose the trade sanctions that have destroyed American jobs and fallen hardest on Iran’s poor. These sanctions are immoral, criminal, and self-defeating. I do NOT want these things done in my name.
I deny consent to all of these criminally-aggressive policies. I urge you to support the Dent-Price initiative in every way you can, and to take immediate steps to end the sanctions against Iran.
