“The Anarcho Teachings of Yeshua” Named Book Of The Year

Author Darryl W. Perry’s “The Anarcho Teachings of Yeshua” was named the winner of FreedomBookClub.com’s third annual “Book of the Year” award for 2010.

“The Anarcho Teachings of Yeshua,” in Perry’s words, “aims to dispel some of the myths regarding the teachings of Yeshua…” Yeshua is another, some say more accurate, name for the ancient martyr commonly called Jesus Christ. Perry focuses on dispelling “the myths that those who follow His teaching (Christians) should be subservient to the government…or use governmental force to impose their beliefs/convictions on others.”

Perry’s book also aims to dispel what he calls another myth: “Most people like to think that anarchy equals chaos,” he writes, “which is utterly false.”

This year’s announcement, delivered today at the Individual Sovereign University Founding Conference in Kansas City, was less turbulent than last year’s. Almost simultaneously with the 2010 winning announcement, police in Nashua, New Hampshire conducted an undercover raid on dozens of the would-be attendees. They arrested one teen on charges of marijuana possession and at least five for allegedly standing near or in front of the arresting vehicles. Several of the authority-questioning activists had cameras, and the videos went viral on YouTube.

The diverse winners of the award have one thing in common: Passionate opposition to heavy-handed government.

Previous winners of the award, coveted in liberty circles, include “The Politics of Obedience,” by Etienne de La Boetie and “Healing Our World in an Age of Aggression.” by 2008 presidential candidate Mary Ruwart. Congressman Ron Paul has been a runner-up.

Perry’s other literary achievements include: Finalist in the Current Events: Political/Social category of THE “BEST BOOKS 2010” AWARDS and Book of the Month for August 2009 by Freedom Book Club for Songs of Freedom: Tales From The Revolution.
